6'' basswood carving of Link from Legend of Zelda.
Fully hand carved out of a single block of basswood with a knife and few gouges:

The original artwork I used as a direct inspiration comes from the game Spirit Tracks:
I kept the shield part attached with the base till the last steps of carving process to provide
an extra support. The finished carving is connected with the base only with a small part of the foot:
